COVID-19 Measures

Here are some of the measures we have taken in response to COVID-19 and although it may look a little different, the health and safety of our customers and staff is our priority.

In accordance with recommendations from our Public Health Authority, we have implemented numerous physical distancing measures. Signs will be posted for physical distancing and masks are strongly encouraged. Sanitizing stations will also be available.

Our building will be closed this year due to COVID-19 so unfortunately our hot cider or candy canes will not be available. Our cashier window will be located just outside the building and both customers and staff will be protected by Plexiglass shielding.

Debit and credit cards as well as cash will be accepted as usual. All our staff will wear masks and gloves and there will be regular cleaning and disinfecting of equipment, saws and the washroom.

Vanderklooster Christmas Tree Farm hopes this will alleviate any concerns you might have this year. If you feel like we do, it is even more important this Christmas season to make wonderful memories and follow family traditions.

Thank you and Merry Christmas

Your local Christmas tree cutting Experience

Make cutting down your own Christmas tree on Vanderklooster tree farm a lasting family tradition as it is an exciting experience. Just south of Woodstock, Ontario is the place to find our fields of farm grown pine trees. Christmas trees come in all sizes, shapes, and types. Get your family into the Christmas mood early by heading out to Vanderklooster tree farm to find and cut down a tree that will always have a special meaning.

With over 6000 trees in production, you can easily find the perfect tree and either harvest it yourself or purchase a fresh tree already cut for you. Decide where the tree will be placed in the house and measure the height from the floor to the ceiling. A tree is not always full on all sides, so the positioning of the tree in the house is an essential factor.

The other important tip is to cut a tree at a slightly higher height than you think you need. You can always cut off the extra length when you get home. Longer branches can be trimmed off the tree to give it the perfect shape and size.

When looking for a Christmas tree, there are a few details you need to consider. The pine trees do not allow you to decorate with heavy ornaments due to their long branches. On the other hand, Spruce and Fir trees have shorter needles and branches which are great for hanging decorations.
